Stephen Castel was born and raised in NYC and attended the University of Connecticut where he received his BSME degree in 1983.

He started his career as a Project Engineer for a well-known chemical company that produced consumer goods and was involved in industrial automation design and control. After several relocations within the company, he was promoted to Engineering Department Head and led a team of mechanical and electrical Engineers.

In 1994 Stephen left this company and started TEC Automation, Inc. His past experiences enabled him to create a business that utilizes sound engineering principles and standards to create process and industrial solutions for a wide variety of manufacturers.

Stephen is President and CEO of TEC Automation, Inc. He leads the technical team with high energy and takes pride in the quality and workmanship of the equipment produced, and is proud to say “Made In America”.

Stephen and his wife Laura live in Woodstock, GA with their two sons.

Stuart K. Kenney, a native of Savannah, Georgia is entering into his 22nd year of industrial automation sales and is senior partner/co-founding partner within the TEC Automation organization with 15 years of tenure.

Stuart attended Georgia College, a division of the University of Georgia from 1980/84.

In 1994 Stuart utilized his industry contacts to help the sales effort for the fledgling TEC Automation, Inc. His past experience in the manufacturing sector and industrial distribution sector helped establish new sales opportunities in order to move TEC Automation forward as a viable design/build automation integrator in the Southeast.

Stuart has been responsible for steady sales, marketing and inter-company growth that ranges from client development, vendor relations and employee resource within TEC’s ever growing organization.

Prior to TEC Automation, Inc. he was employed by an Atlanta based high-tech distributor as a sales representative with territory responsibilities that covered Georgia and South Carolina. His sales responsibilities within the manufacturing/industrial sector have ranged from retrofit automation components to million dollar plus automated systems and machinery.

Stuart’s involvement as a partner/senior co-owner continues today with a renewed effort to keep TEC Automation in the forefront of manufacturers need for solid engineering, automated equipment and resources.

Stuart and his wife Pat reside in Woodstock, Georgia.

Jim Webb, a native of Seneca Falls, New York, enters his 30th year in industrial automation and his 7th as Vice President of TEC Automation, Inc.

Webb received his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and Management in 1978 from Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York and attended the Executive Management Development Program at the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois in 1981 and 1982. Jim is a Certified Manufacturing Technologist as recognized by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.

Prior to TEC Automation, Inc., Webb was involved for over 20 years in the motion control, machine tool and robotics industries. Jim started as an Account Manager for Reliance Electric in Chicago, Illinois and subsequently became Area Manager and Product Marketing Manager at Rockwell/Allen-Bradley. Jim chose to continue his career with smaller companies such as Control Techniques, Kollmorgan and IDM Controls, Inc. where he specialized in financial turnarounds, market penetration and sales growth. He has been involved in the successful growth and management of both regional and national industrial automation companies, ranging from start-up phase to those with over $30 million in sales per year.

Webb originally joined TEC in 2002 as Vice President of Robotics. He is responsible for the introduction and promotion of the robotic systems solutions at TEC, with an emphasis on applications and sales. Webb became interested in robotics in 1988 and became actively involved in the industry in 1996. TEC Automation, Inc. is a corporate member of the Robotics Industries Association where Jim is a regular speaker and actively serves on the New Markets Committee.

Webb is responsible for key vendor relationships and ongoing customer development. He is the Sales and Marketing Manager for the company. His mission is to continue to promote the benefits of flexible automation to US-based manufacturers to ensure that they remain competitive in the world market.

Jim and his wife Lori reside in Marietta, Georgia near their three grown children.
